What a (road) trip?!?!

With a sturdy co-pilot, navigating any road is possible. So with the first in command recuperating at home, Nic took control of the tunes and I got behind the wheel heading down Honoapiilani Hwy. If I’d known anything about the road, I might have reconsidered. But then again, the views were totally worth the gut-busting single-narrow-lane, one-lane bridges, tight-turns, local drivers who seem not at all concerned with speed, having to reverse on a narrow road to let oncoming traffic through, falling (in love) rocks. In exchange we got a look at red rocks, crazy tall vegetaion, a few roosters, some long lizards, lots of banana bread stands, a few cows in the shade, blue sky and puffy clouds, cliffs, a million shades of blue in the ocean.
