These Are A Few Of Our Favorite Things

 

I asked Nic's about his three favorite parts of the trip and he replied:

- seeing the house for the first time

- snorkeling

- exploring near the Burger Shack (on his own) 

Same question to Gina and her responses:

- The Sunsets. Every single sunset. 🌅 

- So much beauty. all my favorite things at every turn - water, sand, palm trees, sun. 

- the Catamaran and riding on the trampoline and getting splashed. Sailing for a bit.

- Nic seeing the house for the first time and filming scenes from Parasite

- You (Paul) not being grumpy about aborted road trip to Makena. The shave ice in Kihei. 

- The Tuna Melt at The Fish Market x2

A bit more about "seeing the house for the first time" - it was an explosion of creative energy for Nic the second we arrived. Not only was he excited to explore, he instantly made a parallels to one of his favorite movies, Parasite. Particularly the scene where the Kim's are making themselves at home at the Park's. Nicholas immediately began directing Gina and me as he recorded a frame by frame recreation, with each of us portraying one of the characters. Unfortunately, I am not a good actor nor am I good at filming. After multiple retakes, we had to call it quits before filming was complete. Maybe he'll share them one day. Super fun.
